Excerpt from Marius, by Lydia M. Child

No change comes o'er thy noble brow,
Though ruin is around thee;
Thine eyebeam burns as proudly now
As when the laurel crowned thee.

And proud hope in the human heart
May be to ruin hurled,
Like mouldering monuments to Art
Heaped on a sleeping world.

Is it a John Dugdale photograph? The "blue" looks familiar

Exactly right m/blanks. Good eye! And it's a self-portrait, no less. The man has a striking and sexy caesarian nose, don't you think?
