Francis Bacon & his tragic lover, George Dyer (photos by John Deakin & others)


 Bacon's studio was meticulously dismantled and reconstructed at the Dublin City Gallery.  But here it is in its original incarnation, circa 1963.  Below is the Dublin recreation.

Been fascinated by him for ever. After I saw Prick Up Your Ears I hunted down his paintings every time I went to a museum.

There is a good version with Derek Jacobi as Bacon also, most likely you know it.
