Rex is dead, Long Live the King!

Although enigmatic, dark and just this side of taboo, Rex was nevertheless a very talented chronicler of the wonderfully base lust that beats in the heart of every gay man.  The above photo was taken in the 1980s when his style began to be frowned upon by the more conservative aspects of society as a reaction to the AIDS crisis.  He suitably disappeared for some years.  Given up as a child, adopted and with a contestable birth date (Zsa Zsa Gabor eat your heart out!), he will forever be hard to nail down.  I have been frustrated with what material there is of his that is online.  It is usually in a small format or emblazoned with a watermark (or both). But I know, I know, I should just buy one of his books haha!  Regardless, once you see his work it is hard to look away.  As an absolute fan of foreskin he rocks his métier, to my utter delight.  His more bestial side, the presence of dogs - and his inclusion of young boys - I can do without.  He passed away this past March, little did I know.
