Christmas at TV land ! Among the sets I recognize models by RCA, DuMont, Philco, GE, Westinghouse, Motorola and the third pictured is a Canadian brand. Images from Christmas past. Who can forget those aluminum Christmas trees, some came with electric color wheels ! The fine glass ornaments, spinel tree toppers, the collection of Christmas cards, and much of the Christmas decor are family heirlooms today. And the gifts ! Someone got a new train set- more likely for Dad than the kids, a little girl got a complete toy kitchen, and a spoiled brat got a 1955 Pontiac pedal car like the Pontiac used in “I Love Lucy” when they went to Hollywood ! Love the mid century home decor of tv lamps, and floor lamps with the cone shaped shades. And we once had one of those fake cardboard fireplaces seen in the photo 4, it had flickering orange and yellow lights to stimulate a fire. Finally La Liz, no doubt a fine jewel in that red box she’s holding :) -Rj
Love the comments Rj! My dad had a set of Christmas bulbs we used until the 1980s. Brown braided wire and a round black bakelite plug haha! Our television was a Viking - a Canadian brand sold by Eaton's (sort of the Canadian Macy's). OMG your Pontiac?! I'm jealous! About 20 years ago I was rooting around in the barn and I found a whole pack of unused Christmas cards from the 1950s. What a score!

CAAZ, I remember we had what was called TVO Ontario (sort of provincial public television) on UHF up in northern Ontario haha. Two dial action.
