The 'weeping' bits do remind me of Hockney, now that you say it. Those running dribbles remind me of Hockney's water effects. I've always loved impasto. It took me a bit, like having to refocus when looking at a stereogram, but I began to decipher his raw sexuality and I was intrigued.
